Insectival 2010

July 15, 2010 at 3:33 pm 3 comments

This last weekend was full of fun and excitement with the Butterfly
Pavilion’s annual Insectival event. The weekend included a bouncy
castle, a tie-dying station, face painting, balloon twisting, classic
carnival treats (the cotton candy was the best), a craft station,
ladybug releases, and cockroach races, and most important, the insect
inspired carnival games. Everyone that I talked to throughout the day
said they enjoyed all the activities, but especially the ‘insect’ magic
show.

The Partner Fair, featuring various science and cultural organizations
such as the Denver Zoo, Mad Science, Bluff Lake, Morrison Nature Center,
Chatfield State Park, and The Wildlife Experience, was also well
received. We thank all the partners for participating.

But the very best part of the weekend was the birthday cake severed both
days in celebration of the Butterfly Pavilion’s 15th anniversary. The
cake was not only delicious, but it was a great way to celebrate another
year of the Butterfly Pavilion.

Missed out on Insectival? Don’t worry. Stay updated with all of our
event happenings at the Butterfly Pavilion by checking out our Events
