Did you know the Butterfly Pavilion features threatened and endangered butterflies. The next time you visit the Butterfly Pavilion’s rainforest conservatory try to spot our birdwing butterflies. The Common Green birdwing is the largest butterfly we exhibit and one of the most beautiful. Birdwings have been listed as threatened by CITES and cannot be collected in the wild. This species was on of the first birdwings to be bred in captivity. Learn more about our butterflies at www.butterflies.org.
