The Butterfly Pavilion is pleased to announce the winners of the 2010 Annual Photo contest. Although this year’s theme, Eight-legged Wonders, deemed challenging for some because the subject matter can be a little scary, it did provide an opportunity to photograph beautiful spiders in the natural habitats. This year’s 100+ entries were breathtakingly beautiful. The photos will be displayed in the front entrance lobby at the Butterfly Pavilion now through October 31, 2010, and will be included in a 2011 calendar featuring the top 12 entries.
The top three winner’s prizes include:
First Place: A gift card to Wolf’s Camera for $150, a 1.5 hour private digital photography session in our Wings of the Tropic Conservatory for up to five people ($75 value), and a 2011 calendar featuring the top 12 entries.
Second Place: A $75 Butterfly Pavilion gift card and a 2011 calendar featuring the top 12 entries.
Third Place: A $50 Butterfly Pavilion gift card and a 2011 calendar featuring the top 12 entries.
